OM Indian Imports
The most sacred symbol- Aum (OM)
is the sound of the infinite, the shortest of the Mantras in ancient Indian sanskrit with paramount importance in Hinduism. This symbol is a sacred syllable representing omnipotent, omnipresent, and the source of all manifest existence.

Om, a sound or an intonation, which, like music, transcends the barriers of age, race, culture and even species. It is made up of three Sanskrit letters, aa, au, and ma, which, when combined together, make the sound Aum or Om.

Repetition of "OM" enables us to maintain mental and emotional calmness, overcome obstacles and enable understanding.

The past, the present, and the future are all included in this one sound. Hindu scriptures tell us that it is the planets primordial vibration from which the entire universe has arisen. All other sounds are contained within it.

Everything that came from OM will end into OM. Thus Om mystically embodies the essence of the entire universe.

And it is this philosophy that gave birth to Om Fine Indian Imports, the totality of the mysticism that is associated with anything Indian.

My home parties are the most fun as I get to meet people from all over. At least once a year, a percentage of the sales from one of the home parties (my daughter's), her share of sales goes to an orphanage my family started in India in 1947 and is still going strong. The website can be accessed through www.tiruchisevasangam.ca. Our family is still actively involved in supporting the orphanage, set up to support orphan girls and widows, provide them with an education and a skill so that they can be self-sufficient. The site also includes a school for children of the orphanage and the community, where students can receive a high school education.
