Om is not a word but a sound or an intonation, which, like music, transcends the barriers of age, race, culture and even species. It is made up of three Sanskrit letters, aa, au, and ma, which, when combined together, make the sound Aum or Om. Repetition of "OM" enables us to maintain mental and emotional calmness, overcome obstacles and enable understanding.
The past, the present, and the future are all included in this one sound. Hindu scriptures tell us that it is the planets primordial vibration from which the entire universe has arisen. All other sounds are contained within it.
My business, Om Fine Indian Imports, consists of fine silver jewellery, shawls, small leather goods, and home accessories, imported from India.
The jewellery is all made of 92.5% silver and the stone settings are all semi-precious or crystal stones. I have been in business since 2004 and also sell at home parties and
shows, like the Total Woman Show in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
